I’m writing to tell you I will stand in solidarity with you as long as it takes to get better gun control laws passed. I refuse to move on to the next big story. I will never forget the loss you have experienced. I believe you have been chosen, through your loss, to help keep all children safe in this country.

I am deeply sorry for the loss of your loved one. She will live in the hearts of many. I am a person of deep faith and I believe God has not deserted you. He has given you a very big responsibility to carry on in Charolette’s name and I will be standing with you.

My name is Mary A. Whittenberg and I live in the Oklahoma City area, I read of the loss of your loved one; I want to offer you and your whole family my deepest sympathy.

The reason that I’m writing also is that I have some comforting information that I want to share with you.

The Bible clearly shows that God did originally intend for mankind to die!

In John 5:28 “Do not marvel at this because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs tombs will hear his voice and come out”

I also want to encourage you to read Ps 37:11,29 using your own personal copy of the Bible. “But the meek ones themselves will possess
the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.” “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.”

Revelation 21:4-5 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry , nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away”, “And the One seated on the throne said “Look! I am making all things new”, “Also he says “Write because these words are faithful and true.”

We, my husband and i are so moved by what you are doing. An idea for you regarding kindness to others: my decesed Father was a professional Boy Scout Executive. Scouting was always a big part of our lives. As i went thru his belongings after his death i found a coin.. on the front the Boy Scout insignia. on the flip side a small saying that i believe could change the world forever. it states..After doing your good deed transfer me (the coin) from your left pocket to your right pocket.. Being a girl i keep it with me always in my purse and transfer from one spot to another. Let’s all think of what we can do, let’s design a ” Newton Kindess” coin put something important on the front, your daughters favorite flower, or bird, something peaceful. Then on the back have inscribed something to the nature of doing an annonymous kindness. and then transfer the coin to the other pocket. My heart is with you .. Susan Higley

What a beautiful way to honor your beautiful daughter, Charlotte. On Christmas Day at Mass I honored Charlotte by leaving a bag of home-made goodies for a mentally challenged man at church. I have a list of all 26 on my fridge and make a note of what I’d done for that child, or teacher. God Bless your family and daughter. I picture Charlotte sitting at the feet of Jesus in perfect peace. I will keep you all in my prayers.

I, too, love the song “Home”. I cannot begin to imagine your pain, but know this. The Newtown families who lost children, including Charlotte, are in the prayers of many, many people across the world.

I will commit to at least one act of kindness every day, and I will smile and remember Charlotte whenever I listen to the song “Home”.

The tragedy tears me up whenever I think about it and I’m 65 years old. So senseless. Such beautiful children.

Greetings from the Midwest! We are a community just like yours in Illinois. A committee of concerned citizens from Highland Park has created an initiative to increase kindness in our city – partly in response to the tragedy in Newtown as well as events in and around our town. I received a random act of kindness today. When I left work there was a little gift box on the hood of my car. I opened it up and there was a bunch of treats and snacks and a note from the website telling me that I received an act of kindness in honor of Charlotte. This truly touched my heart and I look forward to passing along the kindness onto others.

This is a beautiful thing you are doing to honor the life of your daughter. I am proud to say that I will be donating to your organization to honor Charlotte instead of giving out meaningless favors at my wedding, I think my guests would appreciate that I gave in their name above things they will throw away.

Gregory has been telling us about this wonderful website and what a wonderful way of turning something so tragic into something worthwhile and meaningful. You are a beautiful angel whom will never be forgotten.

Two of our daughters – Charlotte and Caroline – received two cups of hot cocoa while on a skiing break at Mount Sunapee courtesy of your beautiful Charlotte. I can’t tell you how touched we were to be the recipients of this act of kindness, and she has been in our thoughts since. Our oldest daughter, Charlotte, is seven and has a genetic disease called cystic fibrosis. It is our constant reminder of the preciousness of life. We wanted you to know that we keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. Thank you again for the cocoa and for making our vacation extra special!

I grew up right outside of Newtown and now live in Chapel Hill, NC. When I saw the news of Sandy Hook, it totally rocked my world (as it did everyone’s) but cut especially deep because it happened “at home”. Since then I have been following your website and am amazed at the positivity and love that is perpetuated by everyone. I have shared this site as well as the contest with my school district and proposed a “Newtown Acts of Kindness Week”. As for my family, we will be looking for acts of kindness to perform and ways to recognize and encourage it in others. Thank you for your gift of kindness!

Charlotte is such a beautiful girl. I love the song Home by Phillip and today my friend told me Charlotte loves it too. I heard it this morning. Without fail it makes me feel happy and uplifted. From now on it will also make me think of Charlotte! <3 Kindness is so simple but can work miracles. I hope that everyone adopts the idea that any amount of kindness helps.

I am grateful to have known Charlotte and to have spent many happy times at the “Art Table ” coloring with her in preschool……she was and will continue to be a treasure in my life. My love to you: Mom and Dad, no words can do this justice….I loved her, her spirit was free…a gift from God for sure.

What a beautiful way to honor these beautiful children.My heart is still raw from this unthinkable day but doing something like this makes me feel a little better if I can make someone happy with a small act of kindness in their memory.I look at their pictures and my heart is heavy, but I see how much they were loved by their families.If people had just half of the love they received during their short,precious lives,this world might be a better place.These children were placed on this earth for a reason and taken from us for an even bigger reason-we may realize it someday…May God have these babies in his loving arms along with all the other children that are waiting for us….

My daughter is 8 years old. She said to me, “Mom, you fill my bucket.” I asked her what that meant. She said at school her teacher taught the class about how you can “fill someone’s bucket,” meaning being kind and doing kind things for people. She said, “Mom, I want to fill people’s buckets so that there are more happy people in the world.” We need more “bucket fillers,” don’t we. What a beautiful thing you are doing in Charlotte’s memory. Even though she is not here with you, she will go on filling your “bucket” and the “buckets” of many others forever. Blessings to you and your family.

My we always remember the children of Newtown the one’s who have passed and for the one’s who have to live with the actions that have passed and for the parents who have lost a child something that no parent should have to endure .
